Hey Soaring Pilots
Happy New Year! With the holidays behind us and another year ahead of us we are taking on new challenges.

I want to thank all the members that have been so helpful this past year. We have come along way on our conditional use permit. I believe that the end is getting near and we should have it complete this year.

Our contest season is getting ready to start.  On the second Sunday is our unlimited contest and the last Sunday is our RES contest. Charge your plane and come try your luck and have some fun. It will make you a better pilot and improve your skills and it is a lot of fun.

On one final note your dues are now do. The bent Wing contest in May is just around the corner. Look forward to seeing you at the field.

I hope that 2008 finds you healthy and ready for another great soaring year. We had a great year
in 2007 with a lot of fun at the field.

I would like to encourage everyone to come out and fly at the field and join us on the second
Sunday of every month for the club contest. It’s a lot of fun. If you would like to CD a
monthly contest, see Jason George, as he is the club’s contest coordinator.

I would also like to encourage you to participate at the other club events around the area, as they
always participate in our events. That is how we keep the field so nice. Remember it is all about having fun.

If you have any questions or concerns you can contact me or any members of the board which
consist of Leonard Reed, Bob Balch, Robert Rose, Phil Hill, or John Wilson. I would also like to
remind you that 2008 dues are now due, so make your check out to CVRC, and send it to Phil Hill.
